Santa Cruz, Bolivia -South America
I traveled to Santa Cruz shortly after the 9/11 attacks on the United States, arriving on September 22.  Tony and Sarah Henderson are missionaries there through the BIMI mission board.  They have one son, Ryan, and another baby on the way.
Spanish is not the only language spoken among the new believers.  Sign language interpetation is also provided in every service for the deaf.
This teenager actually sleeps in one of the Sunday School rooms every night for church security, and sweeps the sand out of the open worship area before each service.
This new convert and I played the guitars together during the evening service as everyone sang.  Since becoming a Christian he had stopped playing his guitar in the nearby bars with a band. Tonight was his first time playing again in public!
Tuesday night I preached in a Seminary that was training 27 Bolivians for the ministry.  Jake and Sharan Wiebe, also with BIMI,  run the seminary.
Tony's wife Sarah uses her sign language skills  and also plays the piano in the church.
Tony and Sarah began the Open Door Baptist Church about two years ago and have a congregation  full of new Christians.  I encouraged the people in their new faith Sunday morning and evening.  Tony is a an excellent interpreter.

This was a fruitful trip.  Thank you, to those who prayed.
